How long does therapy take?
There is no set length for therapy. Most of our clients see some improvement by six to eight sessions.
How can you help individuals?
We specialize in treating individuals who suffer from anxiety and depression. We can work to help you interrupt your negative self-talk and find better ways of living.
How long are therapy sessions?
Sessions usually last for 50 minutes. However, couples or individuals with scheduling difficulties, who travel long distances, or who are in an acute state of distress can schedule longer sessions, as available.
How long are therapy sessions?
We specialize in working with couples that cannot seem to stop fighting and who are caught in negative cycles of anger and hurt. Once we've helped you regain a sense of safety in the relationship, we can work to help you rediscover closeness, intimacy, and connection.
What is the goal of therapy?
Goals are usually developed collaboratively with clients and vary on a case-by-case basis. For most people in individual therapy, goals include learning to feel more able to love, play, and work -- and to feel an increase in overall satisfaction in life. In couples work, frequently there is a goal of decreasing conflict and discord -- and building a relationship that feels safe, secure, and loving.
In couples therapy, do you offer support for both of us during our treatment?
Of course! We don't blame one side or the other for what is happening. No one has to be the bad guy. Our relationship experts will work with both of you -- and help identify your blind spots -- so that you can break the negative patterns of behavior that you are stuck in.
Do you offer sessions online?
Yes. Due to current COVID-19 health restrictions, all sessions are currently being held online via Zoom. Prior to your session, you will be sent a secure link. At the time of your session, just click on the link -- you'll be placed in the waiting room -- and I will buzz you in. :-)
Do you accept insurance?
I am not on insurance panels and am considered an out-of-network provider.
What is your fee?
My rate is $250 per 50-min session.
